From her start as a major bank’s customer service officer in 1996, Deb worked her way through personal lender mortgage services management before launching her own mortgage broking business in 2012. Along the way she nurtured one important skill - customer service; and says ‘You can learn systems, policies and numbers however exceptional customer service is a skill; without that you have nothing.”

As a mortgage broker, Deb meets many different people from young couples and families to well established investors, and loves greeting them as friends. She services clients throughout south east Queensland from her home base in South Brisbane; and with children in their early 20’s, she has an especially great connection with first home buyers, understanding the way they communicate, their specific concerns and the level of 'hand holding' that they need.

Client Story: Client was 65 at the time of application with pension income, his wife was a nurse and they had a young son so also had family allowance. They wanted to get over $100K cash to use on an unrelated block of land to subdivide. The loan needed to be over 30 years for servicing purposes. They had challenges due to the required loan term, income specifics, and security offered. 

Solution: We found Todd a lender who was able to refinance their home loan from another bank and add the cash out portion. They offered a variable rate loan for 2.70% pa over for 30 years. NO ongoing fees. He was able to add the cash out portion to his home loan hence reducing the balance and saving interest. He also then could redraw this to pay the council, and other fees for the subdivision, as he was invoiced, saving him time and stress of relying on the bank to draw the funds. He is now on his way to creating wealth for his family.
